Beginning in August 2022, the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force and East Volusia Crime Suppression Team began receiving complaints about narcotics activity at 2127 Colonial Drive, New Smyrna Beach. 

Deputies also responded to the address for multiple overdoses, including one overdose-related death.

Yesterday, after a lengthy investigation, a search warrant was executed at the house with the assistance of VSO SWAT. Of the 14 people on the property, 12 were arrested on various charges (see below). Items seized included 3 grams methamphetamine, 1.3 grams heroin/fentanyl, Clonazepam and Diazepam pills, 6 firearms (1 stolen), and 526 rounds of ammunition.

Defendants (with charges and bond amounts):

Brian Byers (DOB: 1/11/1994): Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell, Possession of Schedule IV Substance, and Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon. $150,000 total bond.

Clarissa Tolson (DOB: 10/13/1992): Possession of Schedule IV Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. $23,000 total bond.

Matthew Yambert (DOB: 10/20/1959): Possession of Methamphetamine, warrant RE: Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon. $12,500 total bond.

Jace Yambert (DOB: 4/20/1993): Grand Theft of a Firearm, Possession of Fentanyl and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. $20,500 total bond.

Charles Powers (DOB: 5/12/1970): Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. $13,000 total bond.

Mark Howell (DOB: 11/19/1960): Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $1,000 bond.

Patricia Siciliano (DOB: 9/30/1970): Possession of Methamphetamine with a $2,500 bond.

Kathy Statkus (DOB: 4/1/1971): Possession of Methamphetamine and Resist LEO without Violence with a $3,500 bond.

Ydaliz Suarez (DOB: 1/7/1984): Resist LEO without Violence with a $500 bond. 

Anna Umstead (DOB: 2/7/1988): Resist LEO without Violence with a $500 bond.

Joshua Ryan (DOB: 2/19/1986): Possession of Methamphetamine with a $2,500 bond. 

William Schroeder (DOB: 8/14/1988): Warrant for Failure to Appear RE: Petit Theft with a $1,000 bond.
