Let’s do everything we can to prevent catalytic converter thefts.
Thieves love to cut these components off the exhaust systems of vehicles so they can sell them for the valuable metals inside.
Unattended vehicles (especially commercial work trucks and vans, or used cars sitting out for sale 24 hours a day) can become prime targets.
You can help fend them off by securing and monitoring areas where vehicles are parked after hours.
Deputies are conducting regular extra patrols of potentially vulnerable locations.
