Today’s our last day out collecting donations for MDA “Fill the Boot”!

The weather is beautiful and we’re having a great time! Firefighters will be throughout the city today from 9am-6pm (minus calls for service and lunch breaks!) at the following locations:

Providence & East Normandy,

Howland & Elkcam,

Howland & Halifax Crossing (by Wawa),

Deltona & Debary Blvd

And Courtland & Fort Smith Blvd.

Our annual MDA boot drive collects donations to help families with muscular dystrophy in our own community. These donations fund research for new treatments, support MDA Care Centers, and send kids to MDA Summer Camp. Firefighters have played a major role in funding research for muscular dystrophy and in the last year three promising new drugs received FDA approval.
