On Saturday, March 1, former Deland High School standout Lauren Fantone’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 5-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Wilmington Wildcats.
The game took place at Naimoli Family Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Wildcats this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Naimoli Family Softball Field against Assumption Greyhounds.
