On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Deland High School standout Lauren Fantone’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 11-8 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Valdosta State Blazers.

The game took place at Steel’s Diamond at Blazer Park. This was their second matchup against the Blazers this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. at Naimoli Family Softball Field against Saint Leo Lions.
