On Friday, Feb. 28, former Deland High School standout Sam Monk’s current college team, the Colorado Mines Orediggers, lost 20-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Quincy Hawks.
The game took place at QU Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Hawks this season.
The Orediggers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at QU Stadium against Quincy Hawks.
