On Friday, March 14, former Deland High School standout Sam Monk’s current college team, the Colorado Mines Orediggers, won 11-9 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys.
The game took place at Jim Darden Field. This was their first matchup against the Cowboys this season.
The Orediggers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 12 p.m. at Jim Darden Field against New Mexico Highlands Cowboys.
