On Thursday, Feb. 6, former Deland High School standout Lauren Fantone’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 2-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Alabama Huntsville Chargers.
The game took place at Naimoli Family Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Chargers this season.
The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. at Naimoli Family Softball Field against West Alabama Tigers.
