Daytona State College congratulates Shane Rogers

Daytona State College issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

Daytona State College congratulates Shane Rogers, a graduate of the School of Emergency Services who was recently promoted to the rank of lieutenant in the Seminole County Fire Department. The pinning ceremony was held at SCFD Station 22 in Casselberry. Lt. Rogers started with the SCFD in June 2009, became a Paramedic in July of that same year, and during his 12-year career with the department, he has received a Unit Team Citation Award. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran.

"We are proud of Shane's work and commitment to SCFD, as we are all building the department we’re all aspiring to be," said SCFD Fire Chief Otto Drozd III.
