Volusia County recently issued the following announcement.

The Volusia County Environmental, Cultural, Historical and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) Advisory Committee will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, in the County Council Chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.
The ECHO committee will conduct the meeting as the Grant Review Panel to score the 2020/2021 ECHO applications and recommend awards to the Volusia County Council for final approval.
Residents may participate in person or virtually. A link will be posted at www.volusia.org/echo-committee.
The following ECHO applications, which total $3,864,860.52 in requested funding, will be reviewed:
- Enterprise Preservation Society, new roof to preserve a historic building: $16,270
- Volusia Flagler YMCA, DeLand YMCA playground: $29,900
- Riverside Conservancy, living shoreline project, primitive classroom and kayak launch: $107,000
- Volusia Flagler YMCA, Ormond Beach YMCA playground and pool shade project: $112,500
- City of Oak Hill, Mary DeWees Park baseball field: $140,892.52
- City of DeBary, Rob Sullivan Park operations and shade structure project: $150,000
- Marine Science Center, Raptor education and conservation exhibit: $208,298
- Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture, Veterans Memorial Plaza: $600,000
- City of Holly Hill, Pictona phase 2: $2.5 million
