Volusia Business Resources logo design competition

Announcement

Volusia County issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.

Volusia Business Resources (VBR) is in need of a logo, and what better way to engage the business community than to tap into local design talent!

As a way to involve small businesses and elevate local brands, VBR is seeking local designers to submit a logo for consideration. Along with bragging rights, the business with the winning design will receive a $500 cash prize, dedicated feature business profile in a future Volusia County Economic Development Quarterly publication, and recognition at a future Volusia County Economic Development “Q” meeting.

VBR is a countywide collaborative public-private partnership among government economic development agencies, cities, chambers, universities and colleges, and countywide business organizations. Originally formed to assist businesses during the pandemic, the organization is now working collaboratively with all economic development stakeholders to assist new and existing businesses grow within Volusia County.

From start-ups, second-stage and maturing businesses, VBR’s website—VolusiaBusinessResources.com— compiles resources from a collaboration of strategic partners, economic development practitioners and other business organizations to assist with the process to “Start, Grow, Fund and Expand.”

As the collaboration moves forward to address priorities, there is a need to establish a brand for VBR within the community. And that’s where the need for a logo comes in. Interested designers and design firms must enter their submission by Wednesday, Feb. 2. The entry form, prize details and complete competition rules can be found at https://bit.ly/VBRlogo.
