3 1

It is the last day of Public Works Week and it has been a wonderful week of spotlighting our crews and providing our residents a little insight on what they do on a daily basis! Don't hesitate to wave or say Hi if you seem them out working around DeLand. Our last department is essential in keeping our Public Works Department running.

Every organization has a group of people that are considered the “glue” and hold the department together and for public works, that would be the Senior and Administrative staff members. Our director, Ray Underwood, brings years of experience and knowledge to the department and has an incredible staff as support. Our senior staff members oversee specific departments and check in daily on job sites and with their foremens to ensure our crews are performing their job duties safely and proficiently. Our three administrative staff members Kim, Stephanie and Melissa keep the office operating and running smoothly on a daily basis performing various duties to assist the department and the community! We can not thank our Senior and Administrative staff enough for their dedication to the City of DeLand Public Works Department!

Senior Staff members:

Ray Underwood: Public Works Director; Mariellen Calabro: Deputy PW Director/City Forester; Facilities Manager: Mark C.; Fleet Supervisor: Brian G.; Operations Manager: Sal L.; Office Administrator/Manager: Kim G.; Trees/Urban Supervisor: Kit D.; Streets/Storm Water Supervisor: Jeff B.
