The DeLand Police Department would like to wish everyone a safe and relaxing 4th of July Weekend!
As a reminder, City of DeLand ordinance and Florida law prohibits the use of fireworks without a permit. Fireworks can cause issues for veterans with PTSD and scare pets. Additionally, fireworks injure an average of 10,000 people each year.
We encourage everyone to come out to enjoy the professional firework show tonight at Firecracker Festival instead!
