On Monday, we will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day starting with the annual MLK breakfast hosted by Stetson University beginning at 9 a.m.
That will be followed by the annual MLK civil rights march through downtown DeLand beginning at 11 a.m. The march route will go from Pennsylvania Avenue south on Woodland to East Hubbard and conclude on South Alabama at Earl Brown Park. Woodland Boulevard and adjoining intersections within the parade route will be closed until 12:30 p.m. that day.
Accordingly, city offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the MLK Jr. Day.
