On Sunday, Feb. 2, former Deland High School standout Lauren Fantone’s current college team, the Tampa Spartans, won 3-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes.

The game took place at Naimoli Family Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Hurricanes this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6 at 4 p.m. at Naimoli Family Softball Field against Alabama Huntsville Chargers.
