On Sunday, March 9, former Deland High School standout Sam Monk’s current college team, the Colorado Mines Orediggers, lost 7-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Adams State Grizzlies.
The game took place at ASU Baseball Field. This was their fifth matchup against the Grizzlies this season.
The Orediggers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 4 p.m. at Jim Darden Field against New Mexico Highlands Cowboys.
