– As of Monday night, DRC had collected roughly 25,000 cubic yards of debris citywide (you can see the pile out by the airport off of International Speedway Boulevard). We estimate the storm created roughly 80,000 cubic yards of debris, so we have a ways to go.
– If you have not had your debris picked up, please be patient. DRC estimates it will be done with its first push within the next week. After that, they will be going out a second and final time to pick up debris. When that occurs, we will make an announcement.
– There are a number of county roads – including Plymouth, Minnesota, Voorhis, Euclid and Beresford Avenue as well as sections of our city in unincorporated pockets and outskirts that are county-maintained and would be serviced by the county’s debris hauler. Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline for you on when their debris hauler will be over this way. Please keep in mind the entire county, especially the east side, sustained damage, so they’ll have a lot more ground to cover.
– All bagged debris will be picked up by GFL but it may not be all at once, depending on how much you have. Please keep in mind for the future, that bagged debris will need to be in clear bags.
– Please continue to keep your debris separated and away from structures, poles or trees.
– Finally, for any debris contractors hauling from private property, it is illegal to dump vegetative debris on private property such as vacant lots, so please don’t it.
